Living with dizziness, blurred vision, or a general sense of feeling “off”?

Hi, I’m Sonia! I am an experienced and compassionate physiotherapist specializing in vestibular rehabilitation and concussion management. I diagnose and treat conditions related to vertigo and dizziness, including BPPV, vestibular neuritis, labyrinthitis, and concussions.

I offer in-person appointments in York Region (including Richmond Hill, Markham, and Vaughan) and the Greater Toronto Area (including Toronto, North York, and Scarborough). Additionally, I provide virtual therapy sessions for those who prefer them.

Have you ever been told that your issues are "all in your head"? It’s common for symptoms like dizziness to be invisible, meaning only you can truly feel them, while others may struggle to understand what you’re going through. The burden of living with "invisible illnesses" can be heavy, and you might feel isolated in your struggles. Family and friends may not fully grasp the extent of your situation, and some healthcare providers might not take your concerns seriously.

What you’re experiencing could be due to a concussion or a vestibular disorder, which can cause your visual, vestibular, and somatosensory systems (involving muscles and joints) to send conflicting signals to your brain. When your brain receives this mixed sensory information, a range of symptoms can occur, including dizziness, vertigo, blurred vision, lightheadedness, unsteadiness, and an overall sense of feeling "off."

My mission is to empower you by providing knowledge and tools to help you understand and manage what’s happening in your mind and body. With this understanding, you can affirm that it’s indeed "all in my head"—because that’s where your brain is, and that’s where everything takes place!

Hi, I’m Sonia!

I’m a physiotherapist, specializing in vestibular therapy and concussion treatment, dedicated to helping you get back to doing what you love. Working with clients with concussions and dizziness disorders is my passion, and increasing the awareness of “invisible conditions” is my mission.

I was introduced to Sonia and she helped me get my life back. Through vestibular rehab, Sonia slowly introduced me to techniques and exercises to get me moving again and have the confidence to do the tasks of living. Vestibular rehab was the only treatment that worked for me and I can't praise Sonia enough.
